What materials are used to craft a SONIA RENÉE handbag?
Exterior:
All of our leather handbags are crafted from soft calfskin leather.
All leathers are sourced from the Veneto Region in Italy. We partner with certified tanneries to ensure hides are of the highest quality.
Each hide is hand embossed once selected for its soft feel, supple nature, and rich color tone.
Interior:
Each handbag highlights the brand's rich, elegant Bordeaux color in a buttery soft suede. Color offers an elevated look, luxury feel when retrieving items, and reduces the appearance of stains.
Anti-theft Features:
Each handbag offers superior quality and protection due to the selected durable, tightly woven slash resistant material embodying the structure of the handbag. Pockets are then lined with industry tested and standard RFID blocking material.
What anti-theft features are incorporated into each design?
Each design in the collection offers a refined theft resistant experience by incorporating both traditional and proprietary features. They include:

Can you guarantee the security of my personal items?
While our handbags offer exceptional resistance, no item is entirely impervious or theft proof to extreme force or precision tools. Each SONIA RENÉE is purposefully engineered and crafted to resist and slow intrusion, reinforcing your handbag against opportunistic theft in busy or high-risk environments.
You should always take care to provide a level of attention to your surroundings and personal items in addition to the handbags' theft deterrent capabilities.
Do you provide a product warranty?
We are happy to provide all SONIA RENÉE items featuring the SureTouch sensor a six (6) month limited warranty. We will repair, replace or refund the item - at no additional cost to the purchaser (excluding shipping).
Product warranty will cover any internal defects or malfunctions related to the SureTouch Sensor not caused by outside damaged due to expected use.
At time of processing, estimated repair or replace timeframes will be communicated.
Slight variations in leather color and texture are to be expected and should not be considered imperfections. Instead, natural features are celebrated for adding beauty and uniqueness to your piece. Damage due to normal use will not be considered faulty and is not covered under the warranty.

Will the structure my handbag remain firm?
Each piece of the collection is designed to maintain it's overall structure and shape to aid in protection against theft.
While the calfskin leather itself is soft, your handbag in it's newest state will feel very firm. You can expect the structure of the bag to relax with continued use.
*After two weeks, if needed, you may loosen the body of your bag by providing gently widening flexes at the opening to assist in relaxing its structured performance. Please be gentle and proceed with caution if this method is selected.
*Suggested. Not recommended or required.
SureTouch Sensor
What exactly is the SureTouch Sensor?
Our SureTouch Sensor is integrated into each piece to elevate your experience with anti-theft focused handbags. It is
intuitively designed to operate in the same manner as your high-tech smart
devices.
The Touch to Unlock feature utilizes your unique fingerprint to further secure and prevent unwanted access to your belongings. The feature also removes the need to remember a password, digital code, or keep up with a tiny key. Thus, making access to your bag, by you, easy and quick.
It is designed to add, store, and recall your personal fingerprint to highlight confidence during everyday commuting and revered discovery in populated places where pickpocketing may be prominent.
How many fingerprints or users may I program?
You are able to program up to 10 individual fingerprints or 10 users.
We highly recommend the owner of the SONIA RENÉE piece program four (4) of their own fingerprints, 2 prints from each hand.
Subsequent fingerprints or users may be added to ensure access to lifesaving interventions.
How do I add my fingerprints?
Each purchase of a SONIA RENÉE piece with an integrated SureTouch sensor will include a set of detailed instructions for adding or removing prints and users, and resetting your sensor.
1. While unlocked, place and hold your finger firmly onto the SureTouch Sensor to receive a steady blue light indicator.
2. Immediately following the steady blue light, lift and replace your finger confidently touching the sensor for a total of ten (10) successful touches.
* To ensure access at every angle, rotate handbag in a circular motion while touching the sensor repeatedly.
3. A steady green light will indicate successful entry of the owner’s primary fingerprint after ten (10) successful touches.
* A green indicator after each touch signifies a successful entry.
**A red indicator after each touch signifies an unsuccessful entry. Adjust your angle and retouch to receive a green indicator.
What is the expected duration of the SureTouch battery?
The sensor is intuitively designed to operate in the same manner as your high-tech smart devices. On a full battery with routine daily use, battery expectancy is up to three (3) weeks. To fully charge, connect your piece for 1-2 hours.
We highly recommend powering your piece as you would your mobile phone and other supportive smart devices, on a nightly or routine schedule.
Your item will include a Type-C charging cable to support powering your item.
*While accessing your item, a flashing green indicator signifies a low power setting.
What is the SureTouch Access Key?
Each SureTouch integrated item will include a supporting access key. Should you find yourself without access to your item or would like to remove prints, users, or reset the SureTouch entirely, a paired access key is required.
*Do not store within your item.
Each access key is unique to ONE SureTouch Sensor and CAN NOT be paired with another device.
Once an access key is paired with a SureTouch Sensor customer ownership is confirmed and your item is ineligible for return.
Materials + Care
How do I care for my leather item?
All leather articles are expertly selected for their supple natural feel, rich color tone and are hand finished with its signature texture.
Slight variations in color and texture are to be expected and should not be considered imperfections. Instead, natural features should be celebrated for adding beauty and uniqueness to your piece.
To preserve, care should be taken to avoid contact with oils, perfumes, and makeup. Avoid abrasive surfaces, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and sources of extreme temperatures. Gently wipe clean with a soft microfiber cloth or, when necessary, use lukewarm water for stains.
Additional Care Guidance:
- Protect your item from humidity, liquid, perfumes, cremes, and makeup.
- Handle with care to avoid coarse or abrasive surfaces.
- Avoid over exposure to direct sunlight, sources of heat and extreme temperatures.
- When needed, gently wipe surface with a soft, dry cloth. Only use lukewarm water when needed to remove dried stains.
- To maintain structure, never place objects on top of your item.
- Always store in the provided SONIA RENÉE dust bag when not in use.
- Avoid uneven surfaces, unventilated areas and plastic coverings.
- Contact a local leather case specialist if excessive damage has occurred.
How do I care for my hardware?
To preserve hardware integrity, routinely clean using a soft dry polishing cloth.
Treat all hardware as fine jewelry and avoid excessive handling and pulling of
zippers, clasps, and closures.
If your hardware components become wet, remove any excess moisture by dabbing lightly with a soft cloth and dry at room temperature.
How do I care for my SureTouch Sensor?
To maintain optimal use and longevity of your SureTouch Sensor, we recommend primarily using the Type-C cable provided for your SureTouch Sensor and to avoid using a fast-charging power block to charge your item.
Keep components dry, ensure placement of the port seal when not in use
and supervise minors with access to your pieces.
Additional Care Guidance:
- Delicately interact with surface to avoid abrasions and scratching.
- Ensure placement of port seal when not in use.

- Avoid contact with liquids, chemicals or other harmful agents.
- Avoid extreme temperatures, prolong exposure and moisture.
- For individuals under 18 years of age, please supervise or prevent usage.
What is slash resistant material?
Slash-resistant material is a tightly woven technical textile engineered to withstand cutting or tearing from sharp objects.
Composed of high-tensile fibers often used in performance or safety applications, it forms a discreet internal barrier within the handbag’s lining — designed to deter intrusion and reinforce the structure without compromising its refined silhouette.
What is RFID material?
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) material is a specialized lining that prevents unauthorized scanning of data stored on contactless cards, digital IDs and passports.
By creating a subtle electromagnetic shield, it disrupts radio waves used to transmit information, helping safeguard personal data while remaining seamlessly integrated within the handbag’s interior pockets.
Shipping + Delivery
What is your shipping policy?
We aim to process orders within 3 business days of receiving your order. As such, please ensure your order, identification and payment information, and address details are correct before placing your order, as we are unable to accommodate edits once your order is placed.
Pre-Orders:
If you've ordered a pre-order item, efforts will be taken to fulfill and ship your order by the indicated date. If there is an internal delay, you will receive notification via the email provided on your order.
What are your shipping methods?
USA Orders:
USA Standard Shipping: 3-7 business days (Free standard shipping)
USA Expedited Shipping: 2-3 business days ($40)
Please allow extra transit time for orders going to Alaska and Hawaii.
All shipping times are estimates, we are unable to guarantee shipping timelines as they are determined by the selected courier. All items take between 24-48hrs to process before shipping, excluding weekends.
International Orders:
International Standard: 3-12 business days

All items are dispatched from our USA warehouse. Please note the total cost for your order does not include any import or duties fees. These fees are put in place by customs for the country of delivery, and we would kindly recommend checking local customs and taxes before placing your order. If there are any fees to be paid our courier will contact you for further payment prior to delivery.
If your order is returned to sender due to incorrect or incomplete address, you will need to cover the reshipment fee.
When will my order Ship?
Please allow for all orders to ship within 3 business days. Once shipped, normal shipping timeframes as outlined by the courier will apply (typically 4-7 business days) for domestic; up to 14 business days for international.
Once your order has been processed, you will receive an email confirmation.
If you've ordered a pre-order item, efforts will be taken to fulfill and ship your order by the indicated date. If there is an internal delay, you will receive notification via the email provided on your order.

As of now, all orders require signature upon delivery. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes.
USA: For shipments within the USA, the selected courier is UPS, USPS, FEDEX.
International: For international shipments, the selected courier is DHL.
Can I edit my order?
We process orders promptly and are unable to guarantee modifications once they’re placed.
At this time, order or address changes cannot be accommodated. If you need to make an adjustment, we recommend cancelling your order and placing a new one. To request a cancellation, please contact us at Hello@soniarenee.com as soon as possible with your order number and cancellation details, and we’ll do our best to assist.
Return + Exchanges
What is your return policy?
We hope you love your signature SONIA RENÉE piece. If it isn't quite right, we are happy to accommodate returns of unused, unpaired/unprogrammed, and in new condition items within 14 days of 'delivered' notification. To be eligible, items must be returned in ALL original packaging (box, dust bag, interior stabilizing stuffing).
*If promotional item was provided during purchase and not returned, retail value of promotional item will be deducted from return.
Items paired with the SureTouch Access Key and/or programmed with user prints are ineligible for return and will be considered final sale.
The original shipping cost is not refundable.
You must Contact Us or email Hello@soniarenee.com to initiate the returns process and to receive approval. Shipping costs for returns, or costs associated with items sent prior to approval are the customer's responsibility.
Please Note: It might take up to 30 days for a refund to reflect on your account and is determined by your selected banking partner. You will receive a return confirmation email regarding the processing of your return.
What is your exchange policy?
Due to the nature of each SONIA RENÉE piece and the SureTouch Sensor, We
are currently unable to accommodate exchanges.
We highly recommend submitting a return and placing a new order for your desired handbag.
For an approved return request, all items must be unused, unpaired, unprogrammed and in original packaging including branded gift box and dust bag.
*SONIA RENÉE reserves the right to approve or deny return requests.
I've paired my SureTouch Access Key, how do I proceed?
Due to it's personalization nature, items paired with the SureTouch Access Key and/or programmed with user prints are
ineligible for return and will be considered final sale.
